Thought Forms In The Aura

Why oh why is it so easy to repeat old patterns?  

 

HAVE YOU EVER FELT LIKE YOU MOVED ON FROM AN OLD PATTERN OR VIEWPOINT AND THEN SPEND TIME WITH A FAMILY MEMBER OR FRIEND THAT YOU DON’T SEE FREQUENTLY AND SUDDENLY YOUR BACK AT YOUR OLD PATTERN AGAIN?

I have!  I love finding out why beings such as us, who are powerful beyond imagination and can create whatever reality we choose through our minds, get stuck on old stuff and can’t let go of old patterns.  How do powerful beings get trapped?

There is a section in Barbara Brennan’s Hands of Light, that talks about dissociated thought-forms in the Aura, which are basically thoughts that we create, feed, and maintain with our minds and they live in our energy fields all the time.  (They are observable to someone who can see auras.)  They influence how we perceive the world around us because, once they grow strong enough, they engage our perceptions, so we experience the world around us through them.  So, if we have a belief that people don’t like us, for example.  This thought-form lives in our energy field and engages with us whenever it has an opportunity, which would make us think a coworker’s silence or bad attitude is a direct response to them not liking us, instead of a multitude of explanations for the coworker’s behavior.

 

ONCE WE ARE ENGAGED WITH A THOUGHT FORM, IT CAN BE DIFFICULT TO BREAK FREE UNTIL IT HAS RUN ITS COURSE AND PROVEN ITSELF RIGHT, WHICH MAKES IT GROW EVEN STRONGER.  

Most of us don’t know we are walking around with these thought-forms.  Sometimes they go dormant until an old situation triggers them again.  Then it may feel like you are back to square one.  I think this is why the holidays can be so emotional for people.  The holiday season seems to be oriented around looking back and connecting with old friends and family.  It is the perfect season for triggering these old thought-forms.  And once one gets triggered, it feels so hard to break out of the experience it gives you.  But because we can get triggered during the holidays, it is also the perfect time to heal.

The Joseph Communications talk a lot about these thought-forms, except he describes them as our half-formed children.  He says that we are all creators and are essentially angels that have forgotten how to create completely.  The first step in creating an angelic child is with a thought and because we create perfectly, we may create a child to tell us that we are unworthy as often as the child can.  And so it is.  This child/thought will spend all of its existence telling us that we are unworthy because that’s what we created it to do!

 
AN EXERCISE ON CHANGING OUR THOUGHTS:
 
All we need to do to change these children/thoughts floating around us is accept them!  Open your arms and tell your child to come to you.  Accept it into your heart space and tell it that it did its job perfectly because you created it to do exactly what it did, but it’s time to come home now.  You can either take it back into your heart where its energy will be dispersed back into you or give it a new job! 

This exercise has moved mountains for me and I wanted to remind you of how much power you have to create your reality by acknowledging that you are nothing less than a creator that creates perfectly with each thought that you have and that you can change your creations at will.
